Here’s all the technical stuff. Or even simpler… why not talk directly to
Mark?
We have a great deal of experience in this field: you can be sure for the best quality video at the lightest of data rates:
There are many different video formats (containers): Real Player, Windows Media, and QuickTime for instance. Encoded videos in these formats (containers) have different file extensions, such as dot wmv for windows and dot mov for QuickTime. Certain formats are better on PC others on Mac.
In addition there are different COding and DECoding (codec) systems used, varying data rates, frame rates etc complicating the issue further.
We encode each website video into flash video. This is the same technology behind the likes of youtube and other social video networking sites.
Flash is great for Mac and pc, and no waiting for it to buffer / download, (depending upon the picture size, sound, frame and data rate). Given the ubiquitous nature of broadband at 512 kilobits per second (kbps) we typically encode our videos to 400 kbps as our examples show.
We can deliver the video in any format you'd like, either hard format: CD, DVD or soft format on memory stick or file transfer (ftp) via the web. We can upload to social networking sites of your choice and we always give explicit instructions to you or your Webmaster on how to host the video directly or indirectly on your website.
